Copying
You can make a copy of a line or group of lines for use in another part of your
design or in another drawing file. For example, you might
need to copy a cutout shape to make more copies or to copy to another design.
To copy a line or group:
- Select
the desired line(s).
- Choose Edit | Copy or press Ctrl-C.
- If you are copying to another file, open the other file.
- Choose Edit | Paste or press Ctrl-V.
If copying within the same file, the copy will be placed directly on top of the original line - therefore
the presence of two lines will not be readily apparent until you move
the copy.
- Drag or nudge
the copied line to the desired location in the workspace.
- Resolve any resulting errors. For example, if the copy intersects other lines you will need to resolve the intersections. See also about invalid shapes.
