Dimensions

The eMachineShop CAD software uses implicit dimensioning which means:

• You don't have to spend the time creating conventional dimensioning lines.
  
• WYSIWUG - What You See Is What You Get - your part will match your drawing as seen on screen.
  
• Dimensions are visible in the numeric bar which is located under the toolbar.
• The default tolerance is intended to cover most needs.
  

Nevertheless there are some cases where you may need to specify dimensions. This is done with Comments To Machinist.

To measure a dimension such as the distance between two holes, simply draw a line between the snap points and look at the numeric bar. An angle can be measured in the same way.

To create dimension lines for your own reference use Comments To Myself.
