Drawing & Color

The color that appears behind your drawing is referred to as the workspace color. You can choose the color of the workspace. For example, you might prefer a light blue background.

To choose the workspace color:
  1. Select Edit | Preferences | Colors.
  2. Click the Workspace Change button.
  3. In the Color dialog box choose the desired color and click OK.
  4. In the Preferences dialog click OK.

The color of lines you select with the mouse is referred to as the selection color. You can choose the selection color.

To choose the line selection color:
  1. Select Edit | Preferences | Colors.
  2. Click the Selection Change button.
  3. In the Color dialog box choose the desired color and click OK.
  4. In the Preferences dialog click OK.

Lines are assigned colors according to the machine you select for each line. You can select which color is used for each machine. For example, you could set Milled lines to red and Punched lines to blue.

To choose colors used to represent machines:
  1. Select Edit | Preferences | Colors.
  2. In the Lines list click on a machine name.
  3. Click the Change button.
  4. In the Color dialog box choose the desired color and click OK.
  5. In the Preferences dialog click OK.
