Hardware Assembly
You can specify hardware to be assembled to your parts. For example you might want to specify a PEM insert for a metal enclosure or a hinge for a box.
To have hardware assembled:
- Locate a supplier for the required hardware and get a price.
- On your drawing use Comments To Machinist to specify your requirement. Examples:
- "Bolt hinge here (with arrow pointing to holes) mcmaster.com #123456, $1.23 each eMachineShop supplied"
- "Insert PEM fastener - customer will supply via UPS"
Examples of hardware:
- Bolts
- Nuts
- Inserts: PEM, Helicoil, Slimserts, etc. (first create the thru or blind hole using the normal CAD interface). Customer is responsible for choosing proper hole dimensions.
- Hinges
- Pins
- etc.
