Order Options
Order options allow you to specify whether your order is a standard order, a
prototype order, a reorder, or a change order. When you place an order you can select
any of the order types.
To place a standard order:
- Draw the design.
- Choose Job | Settings | Order Options.
- Click Standard order.
- Click OK.
- Choose Order | Place Order and proceed
as indicated.
If you order a part and later want to order the same part again consider using
the "Consistent" order mode. This is particularly important when a specific look
or finish of the part is important. The "Consistent" order mode requests that the
part be run on the same machine. For example if you order a prototype before a production
run you should consider the Consistent mode for the production run.
To request that a reorder run on the same machine
as a prior order:
- Open original order file.
- Choose Job | Settings | Order Options.
- Click Consistent order.
- Specify machine IDs used in the prior order (you can find the IDs
from the confirmation email of the prior order).
- Click OK.
- Choose Order | Place Order and proceed
as indicated.
The Consistent order option is recommended for
reordering parts that are complex or have special finishing or appearance. Note
that in this mode the price and time may not be optimal.
Notes: The machine IDs string should look like "534, 559, F254-92". These numbers
can be found in your order confirmation email - for example: "Machines: 534. Mill
3-Axis, 559. Tapping, F254-92. Finish, F260-2. Finish". After placing an order using
the Prototype option and later placing a larger run, you can still make any changes
to your design.
You can change an order in progress. For example you might want to change a powder
coat color.
To change an order in progress:
- Open the original order file.
- Change design or settings.
- Choose Job | Settings | Order Options.
- Click Change order in progress and
specify the original order number.
- Read the notes about additional charges.
- Click OK.
- Choose Order | Place Order and proceed
as indicated.
After your changed order is received at eMachineShop your old order is canceled
and you will get a confirmation message that your order has been received. After
that refer to the new order number given in the confirmation message.
