Ordering Checklist
Before ordering, carefully check your job. Once submitted to eMachineShop, changes to your order create delays and increase cost.
To check your job:
- Lines - Press the TAB (and SHIFT+TAB) to step thru each line in your drawing, checking the position, the numeric bar settings and the information on the status bar. Use a magnified view for intricate areas of your design.
- View menu - Choose View | 3D and look at your part from several angles. If applicable, review the side and bottom views. For bent parts use Job | Model Bends.
- Comments - Review any Comments To Machinist text & lines.
- Job menu - Select each command on the Job menu and review all information.
- Completeness - Check for missing holes,
cutouts, features and specification completeness.
- Surface finish - Consider adding a finish, such as powder coat, to protect the surface of your part and improve appearance.
- Tolerance - Make sure your design has proper allowance for tolerance variation and that multiple parts fit together properly.
- Analyzer - Resolve any analyzer errors and as many advisories as possible.
- Web pages - Review any pages on this web site that relate to your part including the CAD Help.
- Changes - If you change your design, repeat the above checks before ordering.
