Sheet polystyrene is used for:
- Protective
packaging for industrial, pharmaceutical and retail applications
- Promotional packaging
- Sign displays
- Vacuum formed toy shells
- Vacuum formed trays
- Etc.
Sheet polystyrene can be cut by laser but is more often punched, milled or formed directly by injection molding.
At 1/4 inch thickness extruded polystyrene sheet is typically about 1.368 lb per sq. ft or 0.0095 lb per sq. in.
