Scrolling & Zooming
Zoom in or out of your drawing to see the level of detail you need
Scrolling
Scrolling (panning) is moving the drawing up, down, left, or right in the screen workspace.
To scroll your drawing:
- In the left toolbar click the Scroll button. The cursor changes to a hand icon.
- In the workspace click and hold down the left mouse button.
- Drag the drawing to the desired position using your mouse.
or
- Click Page Up or Page Down to scroll one screen (100% of workspace).
or
- Use arrow keys with no lines selected.
Zooming
Zooming a drawing allows you to increase or decrease the magnification. For example
you may need to zoom into a small section to check for precise details. Zooming
does not change the dimensions of your part.
Periodically choose View | Zoom | To Fit Screen
to be sure all parts of your drawing are in view.
To fit a drawing to the screen:
- Choose View | Zoom | To Fit Screen.
To show a drawing approximately at actual size:
- Choose View | Zoom | Actual Size.
Check the screen ruler against a real ruler to be sure your video
system is adjusted properly.
To fit selected lines to the screen:
- Choose View | Zoom | To Selection.
To enlarge a drawing:
- Choose View | Zoom | In.
- Left click in the workspace.
or
- Click on Zoom button on top toolbar.
- Left click in the workspace.
or:
- Move the Mouse wheel up in the anti-clockwise direction.
To shrink a drawing:
- Choose View | Zoom | Out.
or
- Click on Zoom button on top toolbar.
- Click right mouse button in the workspace.
or
- Move the Mouse wheel down in the clockwise direction.
To enlarge a certain area of the drawing:
- Choose View | Zoom | To Region or click the Zoom button.
- Use the mouse to drag a rectangle around the area to be enlarged.
