Specifications

You can set various general specifications for your part. For example, you can set the general tolerance, surface roughness, etc.

To configure settings:
  1. Choose Job | Settings.
  2. Select any items on the left marked "Specifications".
  3. Enter the desired settings.
  4. Click OK.

Auto Settings

Most of the settings in "Specifications: Auto" are described in detail in the dialog.

Surface Roughness: The surface roughness specifies the smoothness of the surface without regard to the machining pattern. If you need a certain pattern such as a "milled" finish use Comments To Machinist. If you need a roughness approximately equal to a milled finish, 63 is often used. If you specifically want surfaces not to be machined use Comments To Machinist "Do not machine plate surfaces".
