Here is how it works. Let's say you just designed a fancy accelerator pedal for your Ford Model T or a steady-cam for horse-back riding or a desktop sculpture. And you need just one. Now, let's suppose the CAD is showing a price of $200 for 1 or $227 for 10. Since the 9 extra parts costs only $27 more that's just $3 each. Here's how to leverage the low $3 marginal cost:
Under CAD menu Job | Settings | Publish select Yes.
Enter how many parts you want to sell (e.g. 9), the price (e.g. $75) and a detailed description of your custom part.
Place your order for 10 parts at $227.
eMachineShop will make the 10 parts for $227, ship 1 to you, store the other 9 for resale and publish: a picture of your part, your description and your resale price. Next, sit back and relax, while other enthusiasts find your part on the eMachineShop web site ... or you can help speed up purchases by telling others about your listing via email, forums, twitter, facebook, etc. If all 9 parts sell there will be 9 x $75 = $675 in revenue. 70% goes to you and 30% to eMachineShop for stocking costs, customer service, etc. That's $472.50 to you. In this scenario you get your first part effectively for free and make a profit on top!
The fine print: Your name, address and other contact information will be kept private. You can request removal or change of an entry at any time. Any parts unsold after one year will be returned to you. eMachineShop reserves the right to deny publishing an item and if so will advise you to revise your order. Income is paid to sellers quarterly if $100 is accrued. Sellers can accept direct payment or credit towards additional orders. Store terms are subject to change. Products may appear on web pages external to eMachineShop to enhance sales.
