I'm brand new to eMachineShop, but am really jazzed over what can be done with the CAD software. I have watched the videos and made some trial drawings, but one part I need to make is a disc, about two inches in diameter and 3/8-inch thick, with three tapped holes into the 3/8-inch edge, equally spaced at 120-degree intervals around the periphery. How does one show this? Front/ back/left/right views are somewhat meaningless on a round part.

Please use Comments to machinist to specify 2 holes not perpendicular to side views.

Thanks for that, Tech3. I am able to put my holes through the disc from the top, and can put one tapped hole in the rim from the front. But when I select the entire project and do a line/transform/rotate, the top view rotates, but the hole from the front doesn't. Isn't there a way to make the hole coming in from the side turn with the rest of the project?

You can specify side holes in Left/Right/Front/Back views. Holes that are not perpendicular to these views planes should be speciifed using comments to machinist.

"I've just received probably my 8th small order in the last 6 months, and shipped off two more. You guys have never missed a date or sent me a part that didn't exceed the manufacturing tolerences specified. Not one bad thread! You've sped up my project time AND reduced my costs. This is an incredibly valuable service, keep up the great work!"
