Mon Dec 15, 2008 2:59 am Rounding/chamfer on corners of lathed grooves?
So I have a part that is primarily turned on a lathe and I have a bunch of grooves defined. Now, this part is made to be gripped, and I'm concerned about the corners on these grooves being too sharp. I want to designate a rounding or chamfer on these corners, but because I designed this with Grooves instead of drawing a profile and revolving it, there doesn't appear to be a way of indicating that. Could I do that by using the Notes to Machinist?
My second, related question, is that this would be a lot of "corners"... I would imagine it would affect the price. Would it be that I submit the order, it gets reviewed, and a revised quote taking into account the additional stuff commented to the Machinist would be agreed upon?
Thanks!

Yes you can use Comments To Machinist but why don't you use the revolve feature?
CTM pricing policy is found at Line | Machine | Comments To Machinist.
