Steel milling or blanking?

I'm admittedly a complete layman at this, so the basics of materials and machining are still mysterious to me, even with the help provided.

I'm trying to make a set of table legs, from steel, 1/4" thick in a 'U' shape : 48" x 12". Analyzing the job using either milling or blanking results in no errors, but when I try to price the job, I'm told the size is too big for either one.
File is attached.
Can anyone help me figure out what machine or method I need to use for this piece?

Your drawing seems good but [-- login to view link --] is for smaller parts. Try the other 2D processes to see which one has the lowest price.

It appears that a [-- login to view link --] is possible with my new dimensions...
However, now I'm adding some holes drilled through it and the drill press is not supported - won't even give me a 3d view when it's selected - but I don't really need them threaded...
Wire EDM doesn't seem to work either...
Sorry to make this difficult, but where do you go from here?

Use [-- login to view link --] for the side edges. [-- login to view link --] is not economical here. FYI, doing this design in three pieces bolted together would be much more economical.
