I have been working on this design for a gauge that is a reproduction of an older one that I have. In the middle there are two rectangular openings and I needed to know how does one refer to how the metal is rolled inward so I can ensure to the machinist when I send this in that they understand what I want. Or is there a way to express this in the drawing?

Maybe I can send them a picture along with it and have them refer to the picture.

Many Thanks

You can refer to that as an embossed area and draw a side view of the cross section using Comments To Machinist.

"Thanks, using the eMachineShop software was easy, even for a novice. I was able to quickly design my part, select a finish and quantity and get a fair instant price quote. I look forward to getting the finished parts and hope the end result is as good as the remainder of the design and ordering process."
