I am interested in making a part that is very very simple and made from 3/8" diameter steel rod stock. I have been making them myself by hand for some time, but it's just too time-consuming, and I could really benefit from ordering like a 50 at a time.

So the 3/8" rod is sawn into 3/8" long pieces and then a 10-32 thread hole is drilled into the sidewall. That's it. I think I know how to draw it in EMS, but I don't have any idea which machine to choose. I would suppose a chop saw and drill press, but I don't recall even seeing rod stock on the materials list.

Use [-- login to view link --] machine and specify drilled threaded hole in side view using Comments to Machinist. We plan to offer full support of simple [-- login to view link --] in next release.
Software considers usage of rod stock where it is possible automatically.
