I made this part out of aluminum and carbon fiber. Why is it this cheap out of carbon fiber. I have priced this stuff before and is was WAY more than this. Is it real carbon fiber is what.

All price/delivery time options with "-" in Alt. Mat. column are correct for parts to be made of Carbon Fiber.

Not sure what you mean by core. It's similar to the one offered at mcmaster - high strength light weight rigid carbon fiber.

so thicker carbon fiber sheets have a wood or plastic core to save money.

So can I get a picture of this carbon fiber sheet 1/4" thick. Or get a sample of the same stuff you will use. I just quoted the parts that I need cut out of carbon fiber for less that a local shop quoted me for aluminum. Carbon fiber would be a much better choice if this was the case.

We do not offer any samples currently. You can use Request Special Material feature to list your special requirements regarding material to be used.

We don't provide that info. It appears you have very specific material requirements and therefore should use the Special Material request dialog.

alright that's fine. I'll probably just make it out of aluminum for now and go to carbon fiber later.
