how can a Top View be posted to a "word document"?

eMachineShop CAD: View | Zoom | To fit screen.
Keyboard: Alt + Prt Sc (sometimes Fn + Prt Sc).
Switch to Word with the open document.
Edit | Paste.
If you want to get the picture without menus and other window elements and don't have an image editing program better than Paint:
Windows: Start | Programs | Accessories | Paint
Edit | Paste
Left toolbar: Select
Drag rectangle around area to crop
Edit | Copy
Switch to Word with the open document.
Edit | Paste.
