Thu Apr 30, 2009 3:20 pm Threading in revolved design
I'm trying to do a non-standard (single-point) internal thread (that runs only partly through) concentric with a revolved cross-section in the front view, but I keep getting the error message: "Error: Selected line(s) must be designed by modifying existing Revolve line in Front view" (referring to the threaded line in the top view)
I have no problem specifying the threaded hole, or the revolved perimeter separately, but can't make them work together.
I'd appreciate help resolving this issue! (example EMS file attached)
Also, could you confirm EMS supports single-point non-standard internal and external threading?
"Just a short note to applaud this innovative concept! I may even be able to bring some of my long-dreamed about, but never attempted projects into the real world. This is an outstanding service. Incredible! Fantastic!"
