Sun May 24, 2009 12:03 am Creating a conical shape half way up a cylinder?
Hello, I'm new here. I love the eMachineshop software...still getting used to it.
Wondering if anyone is able to lend a hand on a little project of mine?
I've designed a cylinder that is 1.875" in diameter, and 1.5" in length, inner diameter is 1.375".
I would like to create a conical shape from the middle length of my cylinder at the .75" point, to the upper half at 1.5".
I would like the bottom conical diameter to be 1.75", (bottom will have a .25" decreasing step in diameter from the 1.7/8" or 1.875 inch diameter) and the top diameter to be 1.5".
How can I accomplish this?
Attached is my cylindrical drawing so far.
Would appreciate any guidance!

I had initially tried this tutorial but had failed in making it work successfully, however, after reading it carefully a few times, then trying it out in FRONT view (2D) a few times, using Revlove, I was able to finally get it working.
Thanks tech 3!
Here's the end result. (With some other adjustments).
"I did the attached drawing in under 5 minutes. Great... The drawing is very easy, intuitive, and enjoyable. I whipped up a design and got a quote in under 60 seconds!"
