I am making a round washer but it has to have a hole at every 120 degrees (3 holes). Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks!

Thanks....so I would draw one single hole then in CTM say "repeat hole at 120 degrees 3 places"??? That would give me a total of three holes on the washer?

I would also like these holes to have a [-- login to view link --] on one side so the screws that go into them will be flush. How do I do that?

Thanks again for your help.

Correct - you draw one hole with required parameters and type to add 2 more holes around circumference at 120 deg. See Line | Machine | Auto | Near edge | Chamfer for countersinking.

Ok, I added one 3mm hole and it raised the cost over 3 times the cost as without the single hole. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. But without the 3mm hole the cost is 1/3 the cost with the hole....any ideas as to why it increases the cost soo much and/or how to lower the cost?

I have attached my drawings ...one without the single 3mm hole mypart-a.ems and the other with the single 3mm hole mypart-b.ems. This is with 316L by the way.

Thanks

From your prior [-- login to view link --] it appears that the part you are considering does not have one hole.

I need it to have 3 holes. Not sure if I understand what you are saying. Would it be better to list the three holes in comments to machinist vs adding it to the actual drawing? If it raises the cost three times for one hole what would the cost be for 3 holes?

Thanks

For 3 holes you should model the part directly, without comments. The cost for 3 holes will not be much more than one hole.
