I'd like to say with the old software, if I selected drill, it would list a rage of different drill sizes. This seems to be gone now.
Why was this important? Well I want to drill a hole 38mm long. This hole initially was going to be a 2mm diameter. I designed my piece only to find you cannot drill a 2mm hole 38mm deep.
It suggestes a diameter of 3.048mm (r 1.024mm) No I would never have guessed that 3.048mm was a default drill size. Before I could look at the drill list and it would list all these odd sizes. I want to design a complex roller skate wheel hub but with all drills and radius's set to a default size to aid cost and time in making the piece.
My theory is that I design my piece with one particular tool piece then it will save time and setup costs right?
It would be great if there was a chart of all the standard drill sizes and a typical depth that they can drill. It would have saved me lots of time.
Also is it possible to drill 15mm from the bottom and 24mm from the top to create a "air inside" hole 38mm deep?

The issue you encountered would have occurred in prior versions as well - it has to do with the practical limits on the ratio of hole length to diameter. And we have a wide range of drills so usually you can select any size. The analyzer did not suggest 3.048 due to available drill sizes - it was suggested to get a reasonable aspect ratio given your depth. Yes you can [-- login to view link --] from both sides. Yes limiting the number of different holes sizes may save a bit on cost - the same in prior versions.
