Tank Tread

I having some problems creating a tank tread for use on a small robot. the footprint of the unit is 6 inch by 9 inch. the tread will be outside the footprint. I created some link for the tread but having trouble making a gear and traveler. Any help will be welcome

Look on the internet under 2/5 scale tanks, there is a guy there that built a Sherman tank 2/5 scale and made his own drive system as well as the tracks,, can give you some good ideas,, they use wood metal and belting with drive sprockets,, woods good too. Good detail vids there.
