1) I want to build a structure that would use cold rolled steel stock that is:
8' x 1.25' x .25"
The actual machining would really only be drilling and tapping a bunch of holes, and cutting to length.
-- How can I tell if this is stock that EMS carries? If it isn't available, am I right in assuming I can ship the stock and have it cut and drilled?
2) Another set of parts would be a bunch of 1" equal length (.25" thick) steel L brackets that would also need to be drilled and tapped.
-- Do I need to design a flat piece and have it bent, or could I just specify an L bracket as the base stock?
3) Depending on cost, obviously, I might also want a bunch of (engineered) wood cut. It would be simple flat cuts (no milling) of 1" thick palm (see [-- login to view link --]
-- Assuming I ship EMS the materials, is that something that can be cut?
Very excited about the possibilities here.
