Hi folks,
I hate to start on a sour note so i'll say up front that I have been a huge fan of E Machine Shop for years. No way I could count the number of like minded people I have told about this thing. Have only had one part made but have used the software numerous times for exploring designs (happens to be the only 3D software I have ever been able to render a 3D drawing on) and love the instant price per quantity ability(always been my favorite part). I can go back and make a small change then check the price difference (only $1 more per piece? Scribe my name on there!).
Now it seems I cannot pick between the exact machines that will be cutting my parts. Point in case: a laser/ maybe water cut plate of steel. The software picks the machine for me, I cannot pick which one then cost analyze if the extra precise cut of the laser.
So if I'm missing something please let me know.

So can I turn it (auto) off or revert back to an older version?

I'm sorry, the Auto feature is not optional. We don't offer outdated versions of the CAD. What aspect of your design are you not able to accomplish with the current version?

Just what I mentioned in the first post, no big deal I suppose. I just liked being able to pick the machine. Was part of the fun.

If that is the case I am sorry to say will likely just use the software for some simple drawings and take my business elsewhere. Software simply throws too many errors for 'incompatible' machines, tries to force me to resize parts, etc.

Even a simple acrylic rectangle with no holes or edge work wont pass the price / analyze check. If cant specify what machining is wanted on the material whats the point?
