Pricing and design question.

Okay. I am new here and new to designing things to be manufactured.

I designed a simple test product for me. It's a basic trim piece for a car climate control.

The idea was to have it in a "brushed aluminum" look.

It's about 9x2". I used the "auto" feature for the machines and come up with a high price.

Is it possible to get something like this down to a MUCH smaller per unit cost? Or is that just outside of the market emachineshop wants to do?

I would like to be able to design something, figure out a ball park unit cost and then figure out if its feasible to produce in large quantity.

Here is a picture of the test design.
