Welding

Hi All,

I'm working on a 0.125" thick aluminum box. I have the design to the point where all the bends match tightly. The 3D preview pops up without any disclaimers or fixes. In trying to assign welds to the corners (simple butt joints), the system wants to start adding changes that destroy the 2D diagram. Fortunately, I save the progress at each successful stage.

If the box fits together unwelded, why would welding the seams cause such a problem?
