Machining in certain order?

I have a part with a thin wall on one side (ems file attached) and need to know if the part will look like it should once it is done. My main thought is that if machined in the correct order, there would be no deforming.

My thought on order:
Outside curve, drill and tap threads, cut the 19mm hole, then cut the 2mm slice. Is that what would potentially be done?

The second question I have is whether or not I need to request the M2 taps to be plugged before powder coating?

About to pull the trigger on a large order so I appreciate your help!

The part will look like it should and will not be deformed. You don't need to be concerned about the order of machining - that's our job. Your job is only to set the tolerance and other settings you need. Not much powder usually get's into holes but you can request them to be plugged.

How did your parts turn out?

I can tell you how my parts turned out. Some were on time some were so late we had to run our test product without them, and most of them had screwed up chamfers. A few had holes and slots out of tolerance as well. Some day when I have more time I will post up a nice big review on here.

FYI I had 10 different parts machined in different quantity's.

I will say that if they took there time, would respond with none generic answers, and were actually on time this would be a great service.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I would like to look into the details but don't find you in our order database - please identify yourself. Also please give some examples of answers that you felt were generic. As you probably know, we always offer to correct any non-conformance's - did you report them?

My name is Randy Gentry and had about ten different orders this spring. The answers that were generic were not on the forums, they were the answers that I got after I ordered when I ask about my parts and ship times. I did email about my problems and was told to send them in and they would check them out. They also mentioned that it would take at least a month to check them and then the same amount of time to re machine if needed. Some of my parts were two months late anyways and I needed them for a very important date which we missed but was well in the time range I was given. Also most of my parts had bad chamfers. They were either the wrong size or changed when they were suppose to be the same. No consistency.

We regret that your requirement date was not met, however posting misleading information does not help anyone - please review and follow forum rules. Please recall that times displayed by the software are clearly indicated as estimates; any non-conformances are investigated promptly - we find no correspondence advising you otherwise; and none of your jobs were as late as claimed. We can't comment on the alleged edge break non-conformance in 2 of your 10 orders as you declined to return the parts for re-inspection.

Of course I didn't return them as I might be getting second set right now and note how all the snow is gone, the substance my product is used for. Its really discouraging that you guys act the way you do. I paid alot to have all these parts made and I was very disappointed with the quality of SOME of the parts but more so I was and still am very disappointed with the customer support. Please do not try and discredit what I have said for no reason. You messed up and I want others to know how you treat your customers. You have a great idea but need to work on support, quality, and timing. As I said before this is a great service is quality and getting parts even close to on time is not important.

"This is my first time using CAD software and in a few minutes I designed what I needed. The software is extremely easy to use. What a great tool. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to draw what I need. The ability to change tooling, materials, etc. and reprice so quickly is amazing. Also most companies I contacted would not even respond ..."
