Sat Jun 27, 2009 4:10 pm New version with Auto - grrrrrrr!
I'm not so sure I like this "auto" option. I drew a simple 1/4" washer of .049" thickness from 4130 steel. In prior versions I'd select something like lasercut for a simple profiling job like this.
With the new version with "auto" machine it says it will require 34 machines and cost more than before. what?!
many of my "old" drawings pull up wrong and are priced higher than before.
Please revert back to the old version or fix this one.
34 is not the number of machines needed - it is the number of incompatible machines. For example, you can't injection mold a steel washer. The prior version worked the same way.
As for pricing I'm not seeing that - I'll email you to get your old order details.

I've just downloaded the current version and i'm having problems with the auto mode also, it wont let me do the first tutorial, when I follow the instructions the holes in the plate aren't holes and so it can't use the bend tool.
Is there the possibility of having auto as an optional feature in the next release ?

Some of the videos are a bit out of sync with the latest version.
For 2D sheet designs set the Z value on the numeric bar to Air Inside for holes and cutouts.
This will be automatic in the next release.
