Colinear bend lines

When making a bent part where two (or more) protrusions are to be bent together in one machine operation, selecting the 3D view makes the CAD program complain with the following message:

Exclamation "Error: Selected bend line is located outside the part bounds"

Question So how do I specify such a bend without resorting to "comments to the machinist".

Here is a sample design just to show the point (my real design is for a bigger more complex part not shown here).

Smile I know I can model the design as two bends.

Question But how do I indicate that it should be machined as a single simple bend, not two more difficult (and costly) bends?

The machinist knows to do such a bend in one step. I don't recall if the software knows that but you don't have a choice here anyway.

Download CAD Software

"I am in awe at the usability and intuitive interface. Great work, I can't wait to build a few prototype fixtures. I was in need of a CAD program for a new netbook I recently purchased; was at home and needed to flesh out some ideas. One quick download, and in less than 15 minutes I had a good working diagram. The eMachineShop was perfect for my ..."
