Im not familiar with the options for creating gears. I need some advice on making a 25 tooth chainwheel for a bike.
the teeth are 1/8"
the bore is 15/16"

what are all the terms like pitch and so on?

Check out Gear Motions for spur gears and other custom gears. ( [-- login to view link --]
). You can also ask them questions right on their site, they have always been very helpful for me when I have worked with them.

You can design your own sprocket in the eMachineShop CAD - you just have to draw the desired tooth shape.
