Thu Apr 29, 2010 11:17 am Tungsen or bismuth availability? casting?
Are you guys able to get tungsten or bismuth as a special material request? I need a very dense, non toxic metal to replace lead used for fishing weights.
If so, are you able to cast it in a mold? I will need 5000-10000 parts. Will need powder coating also.
Also, what is the approximate VR cost of those materials? (Compared to steel or aluminum)
Thanks!

We can make parts out of most materials. Please see Special Materials.

Sounds good.
Which material would you recommend using to submit the order with when requesting a special material? There aren't really any very similar materials on the CAD list. Copper maybe?
Thanks.

It's not critical - it's partly to get you in the ballpark price-wise.
