Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:24 am Sea water - what type of metal is best |

I need a part made of metal for use in sea water. It will be 100% submerged for a long period of time (1 or 2 years).
I was thinking SS but then heard it corrodes in salt water. Is Titanium better? The part will be stand-alone so there will be no other metal touching this part.
Thanks for any help in material selection.
