I am building a part out of .25" steel, which is too thick to bend apparently. I have drawn each of the faces of the part separately and would like to specify connections as welds. While it is easy enough to specify a weld in 2D, I cannot seem to do so in 3D.

Is there a way to specify the weld at an angle? Say, two square pieces of steel plate welded together on one edge at an angle of 30 degrees?

Thanks

Welding is specified in 2D. Special angles or any other instructions are specified with Comments To Machinist.
