Is there a list somewhere of what machine numbers correspond to what kind of machine?

Ive been playing around with different tolerances for my part and am getting wildly different costings.

It would be really helpful to have a list of machines and their capabilities so that I can design to the cheapest possible machine.

I'm sorry, no, but to minimize cost please see Reducing Cost & Time.

I have the same question, but for a different reason.

In the cost table the various options show different machines in many cases. Without knowing what the machine numbers mean, I have no reason to select a more expensive option.

In reality, I don't care what the machine numbers are. I want to know what selecting a more expensive option gets me. Greater accuracy? A nicer cosmetic finish? I'm rebuilding hydraulic systems for old cars, and quality is paramount. A few bucks isn't going to change anything business wise, but I'm not going to spend them until I have some reason to believe that doing so will benefit me.

Thanks for your help.

The more expensive options in the price dialog get you faster estimated delivery time. Such factors as finish and tolerance are controlled in Job | Settings | Auto.

"I've just received probably my 8th small order in the last 6 months, and shipped off two more. You guys have never missed a date or sent me a part that didn't exceed the manufacturing tolerences specified. Not one bad thread! You've sped up my project time AND reduced my costs. This is an incredibly valuable service, keep up the great work!"
