What is Nylon? Nylon is the first completely made synthetic fiber and was produced in 1938. Nylon has high strength, excellent resilience, superior abrasion resistance and high flexibility. Nylon is being used for home furnishings, medicine, aeronautics, etc. The two most common grades of nylon are Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6.

Properties of Nylon sheet

Nylon sheet has very good physical properties and some of them are listed below:

• Nylon sheet has very good heat resistance
• Nylon sheet has excellent chemical resistance
• Nylon sheet has excellent wear resistance
• Nylon sheet can be processed easily. 

Applications of Nylon sheet

Nylon sheet is most widely used engineering thermoplastic and some of the applications are:

• Fluid reservoirs
• Fishing line, brush bristles
