How does Photochemical Milling work?
First, a photo resistant coating is applied to make the sheet metal sensitive to light. Next, a photo mask is placed over the sensitized sheet metal and is then exposed to ultraviolet light, where photoresist is developed into the masked pattern. The sheet is then etched to remove exposed metal areas, yielding the final part.
