Design tips
Designing acrylic parts has few restrictions
- Avoid deep holes as drilling can become difficult
- Requesting polishing of edges works very well for a glass smooth finish
- Avoid use of waterjet as the material can fracture.
- Acrylic cuts well by laser
- Parts can be connected by special adhesives designed for acrylic, by using machine screws, by using sheet metal brackets at corners, etc.
- Sheet can be bent by heating the area to be bent.
