Design tips

Designing acrylic parts has few restrictions

• Avoid deep holes as drilling can become difficult
• Requesting polishing of edges works very well for a glass smooth finish
• Avoid use of waterjet as the material can fracture.
• Acrylic cuts well by laser
• Parts can be connected by special adhesives designed for acrylic, by using machine screws, by using sheet metal brackets at corners, etc.
• Sheet can be bent by heating the area to be bent.
