Custom enclosures are often needed for new products and prototype projects. eMachineShop allows you to design your custom enclosure with the exact features you need and in the material of your choice.

There are a variety of ways to make custom enclosures at eMachineShop.

• CNC Bending
• Blanking
• Pressure Die Casting in aluminum and other materials. This provides the strength of metal, the feature flexibility of milling at lower cost when the quantity is sufficient.
• Metal Drawing
• Plastic Extrusion Molding can produce 4 sides of an enclosure. Back and front panels can be added using other processes.
• CNC Laser Cutting
• CNC Milling allows you to make enclosures from a block of material such as aluminum. Typically a lid is milled as a separate part.
• Rubber Molding
• Plastic Injection Molding is used for everything from cell phones to pill boxes. For live hinges, LDPE is often used.

Sheet metal enclosures

An endless variety of sizes and shapes can be made using sheet metal. The eMachineShop CAD includes a wizard for making conventional rectangular enclosures that can be modified with holes and cutouts.
