Custom Washers

Round steel washers

Washers are one of the most basic mechanical components along with nuts and bolts. Washers can be used to distribute pressure, take up space, position items along a shaft, prevent a screw head from slipping through a wider hole, etc. Although washers come in endless sizes and materials, it is quite common to need a size or material that is not available as a stock item. eMachineShop makes custom washers using any of the following processes:

Custom washers can be finished using vibratory finishing, electroplating, black oxide and others. Designing a custom washer in eMachineShop's free CAD software is easy. For round washers, simply draw two concentric circles for the ID and OD; assign the desired manufacturing process and thickness; and select a finish if desired.
