Polycarbonateis an amorphous thermoplastic which was first made at Bayer and General Electric in 1957. It is often used in construction applications requiring transparent material and can be easily machined, molded and thermoformed.
Polycarbonate is ideal for making aircraft components, face shields, lenses, sunglasses, eyeglasses, safety glasses, automotive headlamp lenses, windows, housewares, lab equipment, compact discs, cases, machine glazing, visors, instrument panels, signs, displays and dome lights.
