Cylinder groove

Hi all,

I am having a bit of trouble adding a groove on the out side of a cylinder. Any tips would be great.

thanks for the help. I do have on thing, when I am in front view and try to draw the line on the far right it always uneven . does this effect the out come of the shape? because it doesn't seem to look like it when I am in 3D view
