Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:48 pm confusing analysis and costs
This is an utterly simple part, a knob with a setscrew. I keep getting strange analysis messages regarding tolerances and minimum tap lengths which seem totally at odds with the design. (such as saying the thread length is too short, when obviously it is long enough to support many threads not even close to being too short. The 3d looks ok, and I've tweaked and tweaked the tolerances. Also it says my pricing is out of date, yet when I update pricing it says it is up to date. Some of this may be due to my using metric perhaps. Could someone look at this and tell me where I am going wrong?
Your design is correct.
Please ignore the incorrect thread warnings.
Please check Help | About | Price file number. It should be 2132. If you see same then you have latest price file and can ignore the outdated price file warning.
"We were very pleased with the quality of the parts. We thought the software was very easy to use & were impressed with the whole process. The parts turned out very nice and were packaged well. We will be ordering from eMachineShop again. "
