Tue Nov 18, 2008 5:23 am Tip: Revision tracking |
|
|
|
I'm currently working on a new design and constantly making revisions but I'm often not sure if I might want to go back to a prior version after I try a new change. What I do is:
1) make a subdirectory "Revisions"
2) In the CAD use File | Open to show the files in my project folder
3) copy and paste the current file
4) rename the copy to something like "Before adding sensor retainer"
5) Drag the renamed file into the Revisions folder
This way I can go back to a prior design if a change does not pan out and I know which file to go to.
