We recently ran a job for an aluminum plate with threaded holes; 4-40, 10-32, and 1/4-20. ( Job 177375)
We had the plates powder coated and are having assembly problems with powder coating in the holes. What is the best way to insure clean threads when the part comes in? I'm thinking either plugging the holes while powder coating or having the threads chased after finishing. I'm assuming the process would be covered by comments to machinist whichever way it's done, but do I need to do a comment for each hole, or can I just specify the process for all holes?
Thanks,

I would recommend one general comment such as, "Plug or re-tap all threaded holes - whichever is more economical."
