Instant prices are valid for most designs that follow these economical machining guidelines:

 

Machined

Milled parts:
  • Length < 30"
  • 90° workholding
  • X/Y axis cutting
  • 90° walls
  • Slot depth:width < 4:1
  • Inside pocket corner depth:radius < 8:1
Turned parts:
  • Length < 12"
  • Length:diameter < 12:1
  • Length:diameter of cylindrical interior shapes < 8:1

2D 

Guidelines:
  • Length < 47"
  • Width < 23"
  • Thickness < 2"

2D with Bends

Guidelines:
  • Bend Radius < .25"

Non-compliant Parts

Examples of parts that do not follow the above machining guidelines:

Sharp inside pocket corners

Non-90° walls

High slot depth:width

Complex curves requiring XYZ cutting
